ABSTRACT
In recent years there is a growing interest in nutraceuticals which provide health benefits and are alternative to modern medicine. Nutrients, herbals and dietary supplements are major constituents of nutraceuticals which make them instrumental in maintaining health, act against various disease conditions and thus promote the quality of life. The explosive growth, research developments, lack of standards, marketing zeal, quality assurance and regulation will play a vital role in its success or failure. The interest in nutraceuticals and functional foods continues to grow, powered by progressive research efforts to identify properties and potential applications of nutraceutical substances, and coupled with public interest and consumer demand. The principal reasons for the growth of the functional food market are current population and health trends.
EXISTING SYSTEM
- In existing system organize the entire information in file and ledgers. It is difficult to search and retrieve relevant data, when required. Its is difficult to view any particular information quickly. Lot of time is need to search the data.
- Often the data is mismanaged and this leads to loss of data.It is difficult to track the details.
The proposed system is a web
based application which maintains a centralized repository of all necessary
information.This allows the users to access the information easily.The system
allows to track and manage all information through well-defined interfaces.
Advantages
- User can search the details very easily.For eg: fruits name,veg name,vitamins,advantages wise,etc…
- User can view all information.For eg: What kind of diseases ,vitamins and benefits are there in particular fruits or vegetables.
